Baur kid funnies

Our summer break is in full swing now.  I can hardly believe that June is almost over!  Whoa!  Slow down there, would ya!?  The first week, Andrew and Emma went down to Columbia and Mary Mac stayed here with us and attended VBS at our church.  She LOVED it!  I must admit, it was a really cool VBS, and I can totally see why she had so much fun, plus she was with all her preschool buddies!  This past week Andrew went down to Greenville for golf camp.  Mary Mac had so much fun with her first VBS experience that she asked me to sign her up for another one, so I signed her up at a church near our neighborhood for this week.  She had fun, but I think was a little intimidated since she didn't have all her friends there with her.  Emma and I chilled together in the mornings while MM was at VBS.  All in all, it was a great week.  Yesterday we took advantage of the free movies at the movie theater near us and then got to go swimming with friends at their house.  Next week we head up to Boston and Cape Cod for "Aunt" Lori's wedding.  We are looking forward to the trip, but I'll admit, I'm not looking forward to flying with 3 kids, especially since I'm NOT a fan of flying to begin with.  It will be interesting to say the least. 

Since I don't have any exciting pictures to post, I'll leave you with a few new stories from around our house recently.

Emma was talking on her "phone" and this is the conversation that ensued: ..."Hi Barbie! Sure! I'd love to come to your house today! Are you still going to Ken's house? Seriously? Ok, I'll talk to you later." Talking to Mary Mac when she hung up: "Ugh! Barbie just broke up with Ken again! She wants to marry him, but she just broke up again." 
 
While Marc was out of town last month, I took the kids to see "Rio" at the movies.  When we left the theater, Mary Mac told me I was "the best mom in the whole universe."  I swear not even 10 minutes later she says, "When you go out of town Daddy takes us to the store and buys us toys and stuff, you just take us to the movies, which is kind of boring." 
Seriously!?  Thanks a lot, Mary Mac!  haha!
