Yes, almost exactly one month ago, Andrew turned 9 years old! 9 YEARS OLD! I can't believe I have a 9 year old now. Andrew's actual birthday fell on a Saturday this year so we were able to celebrate with our family here in Charlotte. He opened presents and then chose where we all went to eat dinner (BT's Burger Joint was his request).

Andrew doesn't eat cake, so he requested chocolate peanut butter cup cookies. I was more than happy to oblige. Yummy!
On January 21st we had his birthday party at Zuma Fun Center. They were supposed to ride the go-carts, but the weather didn't cooperate and so they got extra arcade tokens, the kids all seemed pretty happy with that too.

The biggest excitement of the day was when EMMA won 1,000 tickets! She hit the jackpot!
She was so excited! Of course all she was concerned with getting was a whistle with her tickets. Out of her 1,000+ tickets, she wanted the 50 ticket prize that Mary Mac had gotten. :)
Just to show you, she had to hit in just the right spot to win the jackpot. We did also talk her into a Smurfette stuffed animal along with the whistle that she got with her tickets.
