Sorry I haven't been around the blog lately. Haven't really taken any pictures worthy of posting on here for you. Here are a few things we've been up to since my last post:
- Mary McLean and Emma started swimming lessons. They've now had 2 classes, after the 1st class they both asked if we could go back to swim lessons after lunch. The 2nd class was good for Emma, Mary Mac didn't think as much of it as they made her go under when she jumped in. She had her crying fit and then was done with it, but refused to put her face anywhere near the water again for the rest of her lesson. So much for being a swimmer like her friend Mackenzie, I guess. Ha ha!
- I went to the beach the first weekend in May. Marc stayed home with the kids. I had a wonderful, relaxing time, Marc stayed busy. While I was gone, he cleaned out the garage, cleaned the house, and mowed/edged the yard. Me thinks I need to leave town more often, yes? Obviously I'm just a distraction to him. :)
- Andrew had another track meet. This time he got to run the 400 (the meet was called off before this point last time due to thunderstorms). We think Andrew may be a long distance runner. He did much better in this event than the 100M. He kept his pace the whole time, and even managed to pass several people for a 4th place finish overall. Not too bad for him.
- Andrew also had a school performance last Thursday. The kindergarden and 1st graders put on a show for parents at the PTA meeting. Andrew even had a speaking part. He delivered his line perfectly and was so cute singing with the rest of the class. I'll have to see if I can post some of the video later.
- We went to Greenville on Saturday and had a failed Putt-Putt attempt. The girls were not interested. Andrew did alright though. I think they were more interested in the arcade we had walked through when we got there. Haha!
- Sunday was Mother's Day. The day started out great, Marc made breakfast, it was delicious. We got dressed and went to church. Marc and I were on nursery duty and the kids were all really good. Emma didn't really get jealous either when we paid attention to other kids. And best of all, she didn't cry when I left her in there so we could go to church. After church though the melt-downs started. Mary Mac and Andrew were horrible on the ride home to change clothes before going out to eat. So I made them turkey sandwiches, and went to bed. The continued the fighting/arguing for most of the day. I did get to end my day with some Coldstone, so that was a nice ending to an otherwise annoying day. :)

glad i wasn't the only one at cold stone for mother's day "dinner!" it's funny how the kids never get the memo that it's mother's day and to BE GOOD! maybe next year! : )
Funny, we spent a good portion of Mother's day reminding Will that it wasn't called "Will's Day". I brought myself a Coldstone cake in honor of Mother's Day. Great minds think alike.
LOL, I love the ice cream theme on Mother's Day. I hit up the buy 2 get 3 free Breyers sale at Harris Teeter, so we now have 5 things of ice cream in our tiny freezer :) It sure makes me a happy mom though :)
