Boy are we busy!

We have had quite a busy week. The kids enjoyed a visit from Grandma last Wednesday. Mary McLean and Emma enjoyed their one-on-one time while Andrew was still in school. Then shortly after he got home and we had eaten lunch, the girls went down for naps and he got his special "Grandma time." They built a great tent in the playroom for him to play in. Of course, Mary McLean wanted one as well when she woke up from her nap! ;) While Grandma was entertaining the kids, I got to sneak off to the hospital to meet Liam and Aiden Clark, who were born last Monday, May 12th! They were so tiny and sweet. Kristin of course looked great, especially after just having twins (made me sick!) ;)

Thursday Marc headed down to Charleston for his annual Guys trip, while I hosted Bunco at our house. The kids were so good and stayed upstairs for the most part watching their "Scooby" video. They couldn't have been more well behaved!

Friday morning we headed down to Columbia for the weekend. Friday afternoon, we headed over to "Jewa's house" to swim in her pool. As we were driving over there, Andrew said, "Jewa sure does have good popsicles at her house!" Every time Andrew goes over to Julia's house to swim, she has popsicles for him, which he thinks is the greatest thing. I had to explain that "Jewa" wasn't going to be there so we wouldn't be having any popsicles today. Too funny! The kids did great in the water. It didn't take Andrew long to get back in the swing of things with his swimming. By the end of our time there, we were even able to take the life preserver off for him to swim without it! I was so proud of him! Unfortunately, we were really pushing on naps, and Mary McLean got a little grumpy, so we had to leave after about 45 minutes. We are definately ready for our pool to open now though!

Back at Ana and Pop's house, Mary McLean loves to put on my old dance recital costumes. She thinks they are her "princess dresses." She even tried to get me to put some on at one point. I kindly explained that I was much too big for any of them anymore, and that no one wanted to see that! ;) Here are a couple of pics of her in the various costumes...

Dancing with Andrew...these are the memories I need to preserve!

Saturday morning, we got up and dressed to go out to pick Strawberries. Of course, we drive all the way over to Lexington, only to find out the Strawberry patch was closed. ;) So instead, we went to Target and the "Dollar Palmetto Tree" store (as Andrew calls it). Andrew got some new motorcycles, and Mary Mac got some fun "princess" things. When we got back, we ate lunch, and then Pops returned from his trip to Atlanta. He mentioned washing my car, which I was all for. Since we have mandatory water restrictions in Charlotte, my car has never been washed since we bought it last October! Yikes! I dressed the kids in their bathing suits and off to work they went! :)

I'll close this monster post with a few pics of our resident Princess. She even made up a song about being a princess! I think Marc and I are going to have our hands FULL with this one! ;)

I love the dance outfits. The 2nd and 3rd one I remember. I don't think I still have mine. :-(
Keep posting the great pictures.
