Busy Weekend

We're coming off quite the weekend here. We started Saturday off with Andrew's soccer game at 11:00. Ana and Pops came by to watch him play as well as the Bennett family. Andrew was so excited to see all the fans there cheering for him. They played the white team and tied the game 4-4. Only 3 games left this season...wonder if they will win any of them? ;)

After the game, Ana and Pops came back to the house and sat with the kids while they napped so Marc and I could make a trip over to Lake Wylie for a Kentucky Derby party at Brendan and Kristin's. It was great to see the two of them before their twins arrive next Monday! They are going to be such awesome parents, they are both so great with our kids. I also got to peek in on Liam and Aiden's nursery while we were there...Kristin has really outdone herself, those boys are coming home to a beautiful room!

Next up in the day was a birthday party for our neighborhood friend, Isabel, who was turning 3. Being Kentucky native's themselves, they hosted the cutest Kentucky Derby themed birthday party, complete with a kid's derby race on wooden stick horses. The kids got to bring the horse home as their party favor! They had a blast, and Mary McLean had only a few minor meltdowns at the coloring tables. Ahh...gotta love the 2's!

Sunday we got to babysit little Evan for the day while John and Jessica went to the Wachovia Championship. He was such a sweetie and Emma is in love! She got the biggest smile when she saw him that afternoon as she woke up from her nap. While Evan was here we went across the backyard to our neighbors, Joe and Amy's, house. They hosted a Sunday picnic in the backyard. The food was delicious and we had a great time socializing with neighbors. It wasn't too long before all the kids sauntered over to our backyard to play on the swingset and in the playhouse.

Ahh..to be young and in love... ;)

Entranced by Baby Einstein...check out the looks on their faces..priceless

What a great weekend! This upcoming weekend seems to be just as busy, but we are having so much fun. We truly love our neighborhood and all the wonderful people we have met!

I love the pics of Evan and Emma, especially the one of them entranced by Baby Einstein. Evan and I are looking forward to playing with Emma during the summer.
