Saturday we had a watermelon themed birthday party for Emma at our house. We even bought a new baby pool for the backyard and I think the "big" kids really enjoyed it!
We had a great time with all the kids running around. We really appreciated everyone being here to help celebrate Emma's special day with us! Things have certainly changed since we celebrated Andrew and Mary McLean's 1st birthdays. Andrew's first birthday was celebrated with just family because we didn't know anyone else with kids! That's certainly not the case anymore. It was great having all the little ones running around and the grandmothers were able to get their "baby fix" since they definately won't be getting anymore from us! ;) haha!
I can't believe our baby girl is a year old. This has been an amazing year with lots of changes. One of the best changes has been having Marc home with us now. I love that he has been able to watch Emma grow over this year and really able to enjoy her.
Last Wednesday, Emma decided that she wanted to walk almost everywhere she went. She was walking all over the house! She would stand up walk, and if she fell down, would stand right back up and continue to where she was heading without crawling. What a big girl! We've tried to pretty much drop the bottle cold turkey and it has been hard at times, but I think she has accepted the sippy cup for good now. YAY! We don't have her 1 year appointment for a few more weeks, so I'll post her stats after that. Enjoy the pictures!
