My little Emma is back home. It was really hard for me to be away from her for so long. I have never been away from her for more than 2 nights, and then, I was away from ALL of them at the same time. I think Emma had a blast with Nana and Pops. I got a quick visit with her on Friday when Marc and I dropped Mary McLean at my parents on our way down to Georgia for Jill's baby shower. I think that short 20 minutes made it even harder to leave. She wouldn't leave my lap and kept smiling and telling Nana, "Mommy's here!" When we got back on Saturday from Georgia, she was just as excited to see us and kept saying, "No leave, Mommy." But she would say that when Nana would leave the room too, "No leave, Nana," so I don't think it was just me. She did wake up crying in the middle of the night Saturday crying for me, I finally brought her in bed with Marc and I and she just lay there patting our faces until falling back asleep. That girl can really make you feel loved! Of course, by Sunday night, I had had my fill of the clinging, haha, but I'm still happy to have my sweet girl home with me again.
