Andrew had his 7 year old well check last week. It's still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that I have a 7 year old. Anywho, he did great, was great, only downside was he didn't have to get any shots. Bummer. I'm sure he was upset about this too. haha! He has finally crossed over the 50lb mark and is weighing in at 51 lbs, and was 47 3/4" tall. Come on buddy, only 1/4" more to go until you can ride ALL the rides at Disney! ;) For a kid that was in the 90+ percentile for the first couple years of life, he has definately slowed down and enjoyed hanging out in the 50th percentile for the last 4-5 years!
Andrew continues to do well in school. He is really a great reader and loves that he gets to read chapter books now. He is also obsessed with presidents. This kid loves anything to do with presidents, so February was probably one of his favorite months with all the President Day activities. He shocked Marc and I one night a few weeks ago by answering 4 questions right on Jeopardy. And no, it wasn't the Teen, or even College tournament, this was regular old Jeopardy questions in a category about presidents! Maybe we have a future politician on our hands?
Andrew has decided to take a break from baseball this season and is wanting to try new things. His current obsession right now is football, so Marc and I are looking into signing him up for a football camp this summer. He is going to an All-Sports club up at the Rec Center at his school on Monday nights. Each week, they introduce a different sport and learn some basics about it. He went for the first time this past Monday and really had a great time. He is going to be doing Track and Field in April, and possibly karate later this month.
