Where's the sleeping bag?

Last night as I'm sleeping, off somewhere in dreamland, I hear the dreaded, "Mommy" and someone patting my arm.  I jerk awake and see Andrew standing there.  Coming out of my heavy sleep I was certainly confused.  I must be dreaming still, Andrew doesn't wake me up, Andrew sleeps like a rock at night, he never gets up in the middle of the night.  So I lay back down and close my eyes again, until I hear a whimpering and what is most definately Andrew's voice say, "Mommy, I tried to make it to the bathroom, but I couldn't."  In my sleepy haze I'm thinking, did Andrew really just say he wet the bed?  Again, not something Andrew normally does, I can probably count on my fingers the number of times Andrew has wet the bed even during potty training.  I'm so out of it at this point and I'm thinking, where is his sleeping bag?  Is it somewhere he can get to without me having to get up?  He can sleep on the floor until tomorrow and I can change his sheets.  Stop judging.  I was out of it, and he sleeps on a lofted bed.  Would you really want to be changing sheets in the middle of the night on that?

Then it hits me, a pungent smell, my brain finally somewhat engages and I think, that's not urine.  "Andrew, what are you talking about, you didn't make it in time for what?"  "I threw up," he says.  Oh.  Yup, that's the smell.  Great, so I really do have to get up and change the sheets and make sure he's alright.  I wake Marc up and make him come help me get the old sheets and all off the bed and into the wash.  Turns out he needed the sleeping bag anyways because he had thrown up all over his comforter. (The sleeping bag was in the top of his closet, so I would have had to get up regaurdless).

He seems to be alright this morning, just a little weak and queasy.  I'm sure me telling him this morning that he didn't have to go to school should go a long ways in helping to perk him up.
