"Go Tigers" and other conversations at our house...

This past weekend, Marc taught Emma to say "Go Tigers!" She is so proud of herself when she says it too, and will start clapping for herself after saying it.

I read other people's blogs about the funny things their kids say from time to time and find them hilarious. I often stop and think after certain conversations with my kids that I should take a minute to sit down and record them because they are so funny, and surely I will forget them. Of course, I never do, and as predicted, I forget them, so here is my try at some of the conversations I have found quite humorous at our house lately:

Talking to Mary McLean after picking her up from school one day:
"Mommy, I want to go to Andrew's school."
"You're not big enough yet, sweetie, but some day you and Andrew will be at the same school."
"But I a big girl, Mommy, I very big!"
"You are a big girl, but not quite big enough, still too little to go to Andrew's school."
"I still little?"
"Well, just not big enough for the big kids school."
"Oh no, I still little, what am I going to do?" (said oh so dramatically, as she buries her face in her hands)

Andrew got a balloon yesterday at the dentist, and it popped on the way home, here is the conversation that ensued:
"Aaauughh! You need to get tape to fix it!"
"Andrew, honey, tape isn't going to fix the balloon"
"But you didn't cut my finger nails, it's your fault!" (like I should have somehow sensed that the dentist would give him a balloon, and that he would then try to scratch and poke it to it's breaking point on the way home)
"No, Andrew, it's not my fault, you shouldn't have been playing so rough."
"It is your fault, you are a bad girl and you are going to time out when we get home, forever!"
"We'll see."
"And then you are going outside and bugs will sting you forever and ever!"

Well, he told me, I guess....

Mary McLean on the potty (she's going to kill me for this one day):
(while straining) "It's a big stinky isn't it Mommy!?"
"I guess"
"Oh, there's a baby stinky, not the big one."
"Ok"
"Oh, another baby one, Mommy."
"Thank you for the play by play, sweetie."
"You're welcome"
