I got nothin'

For the title to this post. This week has been a pretty boring week around here. One of those just blah weeks. I nursed a two day headache all weekend and now I feel it coming back on as I type this. Wonderful.

Tuesday we made our "weekly" trip down to Rock Hill for Andrew's 6 year check up and to have Mary McLean's blood drawn to check iron levels. Andrew is doing good, he was 47lbs and 45 inches tall. No worries or concerns. I did have his hearing checked while we were there, but obviously his problems are more selective than actual hearing loss. Go figure. ;)

Mary Mac's iron level was up to 10.6, which is where it was when we first discovered the low iron levels back in November/December. If you remember, it had dropped lower since then. So we are to continue with the iron supplements and re-check again in 3 months. Yay, another co-pay! :) We go back next week to have her urine tested again to make sure the infection is gone.

Last night Emma woke up from her nap and wasn't really acting like herself. Hard to say what it was, she just seemed...off. While I was cooking dinner she just kept hugging my leg, so I limped around the kitchen with her attached to one leg. She didn't really seem all that interested in her dinner and pushed the plate away and really only asked for milk. Around 7:30, Marc was in the kitchen and he called me in there, evidently he was in there with the girls and Emma had thrown up everywhere. Luckily she was in the kitchen on the hardwoods and not on the carpet somewhere. She threw up again almost immediately. While I cleaned up, Marc went up to get her bath started. After a bath, we put her to bed, I was fully anticipating being up all night with her, but miraculously she slept through the night.

This morning I was thinking maybe it was just an isolated incident and she would wake up fine. I went in to get her and could smell right away that it indeed was NOT fine. She had diarrhea. 4 diapers within the first hour of her being up. Awesome. She hasn't had any other "episodes" since then, but has been so pitiful all day long. She has been laying in my lap or napping all day long. Poor thing is so sad. She's normally such a happy, active baby, but not today. Here's hoping it's just a 24 hour bug and she's back to normal self tomorrow.

I'm glad this week is almost over. I'm ready to start fresh with a new week! Something to look forward to: Andrew's T-ball season starts on Saturday with the first practice. I know he will enjoy being back out there with his buddies again. And bonus: team color=Orange! :)
