Easter

We had a great Easter in Charlotte this year. On Saturday Marc and I took the kids up to Clemson for the Orange and White game (more about that in another post).

We woke up Sunday morning to find that the Easter Bunny had paid us a visit. The kids were very excited to see their baskets waiting for them on the kitchen table. After daddy made them a special pancake breakfast we got dressed and headed off to church.

After church, our friends and neighbors the Grants hosted a wonderful Easter dinner for several friends in the neighborhood. We had a great time and there was certainly some delicious food there. (I'll have to work extra hard at the gym this week thanks to Amy's yummy cake!) The weather was perfect and we spent the entire day outside (8 hours to be exact)! Misty and I took the kids on a "Easter parade" down the street while the dad's hid eggs for everyone. We got back and the Egg hunt began. It was hilarious watching everyone gather baskets-full of eggs. Misty then had an egg toss and tug-of-war for them. Maybe if Marc hadn't lost so much weight he would have been a better anchor for his team on the tug-of-war...oh well, better luck next time! ;) The kids ran and ran all day long (without a single nap)! We got home last night and after a few quick baths, they were sound asleep. Emma slept until almost 9:00 this morning, then they all took 2.5-3 hour naps this afternoon!
