On Sunday we headed up to the Manor House for Mackenzie's "Spring Fling Birthday Thing." It was a cute dance party for the little ones complete with inflatable microphones and their very own guitars to decorate. The kids had a blast and I think the adults enjoyed themselves as well. Amy lead the kids in the Chicken Dance...I volunteered Marc since it is his favorite, but I think he was feeling shy. ;) We also did the Cha Cha Slide, musical chairs, and Scott showed them how to do fun dances like the sprinkler, and how to mow the lawn. The funniest part was when Misty announced that it was time for cake. She had made a "dirt" cake for Mackenzie, and she asked who wanted to eat dirt with worms? Mary Mac burst into tears screaming, "No, Misty, I don't want to eat dirt!" After it was scooped onto her plate and she saw that it wasn't actually dirt, she felt a little bit better. She still waited for Andrew to take the first bite and then leaned over to him and asked, "How does it taste? Is it good?" When he confirmed that it was alright, she dug right in. Marc and I had a few good laughs over that one.

Looks like everyone had a great time. I would have loved to have see MM's reaction to the dirt cake. That is priceless!
