Demonstrating her "Butterfly" pose from her ballet routineToday was a very exciting day for me. Mary McLean received her recital costume at dance class tonight. I think I'm more excited than anyone else. I always LOVED getting my recital costume when I was growing up, and then after the recital, I loved playing dress up in them. I still remember my first costume- it was a light blue and silver sequin top with a puffy blue tutu trimmed with white lace. I'm pretty sure our tap shoes were spray painted silver too. We danced to "My two left feet." I hope Mary McLean has fond memories of her first recital too.

And I remember dressing up in your costumes putting on dance shows in your living room to Oldies music. I'm pretty sure I remember we had some good fights/"tiffs" over those lovely outfits :0) Good times! Glad to see your girl carrying on tradition :0)
Mary Mac looks SOOOO cute!! That is actually a really pretty costume. She looks like a beautiful little french marionette.
This is a pretty costume. I don't remember mine looking that good...I guess my first one was in the early 80's so that probably explains that! I definitely spray painted some tap shoes silver too...I am pretty sure the rest of that costume was turquoise and hot pink. :)
