I need a vacation

On Monday, Misty and I loaded up our cars and kids and headed down to meet her friend Dana in N. Myrtle Beach for 5 days. We had a wide range of ages with Andrew being the oldest at 6.5, and Carter being the youngest at almost 9 months. Between them were: Mackenzie, Kooper, Mary McLean, Emma, and Campbell. So yes, 7 kids, 3 moms! Yikes! I had fun with Misty and Dana, but with 2 bedrooms, and 7 kids, all with completely different sleeping habits, it got the better of me, and I had to head home on Thursday. My kids were exhausted from lack of sleep and it definately showed in their behavior, I hated to leave, but my sanity couldn't take it any more. haha!

We did get to celebrate Misty's birthday on Tuesday while we were there which was nice. Misty found a babysitter that was brave enough to take on our rambunctious brood for the evening, so we could get out for a little "adult" time. This girl must be superwoman too as she had ALL kids asleep before we got home around 10:30. (I know, we are party animals! heehee) This is a huge fete as we had battled with getting the older ones asleep the night before, with threats of sleeping on the balcony and in the cars, they finally went down around 11:00!

Our first day out on the beach
That evening, MM, Mackenzie, Kooper, and Andrew put on a puppet show with the Barbies

Day 2: loving the beach

Day 3: Mary McLean was the first to be buried, she kept saying she was "Nice and cozy"

The others quickly followed suit, I threatened to leave mine like that by this point!
