Christmas Eve re-cap

We had an enjoyable Christmas Eve. The kids were WOUND up! They were bouncing off walls all morning. Luckily Marc only had a half day at work that day, so I only had their craziness that morning. After naps, Grandpa and Grandma arrived to spend the night. The kids were very excited to see them and were fighting over laps, and attention as soon as they walked through the door.

We went to the 5:00 children's service at our church. It was really cute and actually really held their attention. Mary Mac and Emma were super-excited to see Mr. Chris up on stage (he is one of the pastors at our church and does their chapel/music time at school every Tuesday). We even sang one of the songs from their Christmas program. Emma was out in the aisle dancing and doing the motions to the song. It was adorable!

After the service we came back home and ate a yummy dinner of Taco Soup. Once dinner was eaten, dishes were put away, and kids changed into pajamas, we curled up on the couches to watch Prep and Landing, and Shrek the Halls. Mary Mac was about to fall asleep, so we decided to go ahead with putting out our cookies for Santa and sprinkling our reindeer food on the grass.

Once the kids were down, we didn't hear another peep from them. They were out cold! Marc and I went back to church for the 9:00 service because they were doing the last sermon on the series we had been hearing in December and we didn't want to miss it. It was a really great message, so I'm glad we went back. We did come home exhausted, and hit the bed immediately since we knew little ones would be waking us up bright (?) and early the next morning!

Sprinkling the reindeer food out in the front yard, didn't want them to pass us by!
