Cookies with Santa

Saturday morning, our neighborhood held our annual "Cookies with Santa" at the Manor House. We have been the past 3 years and let me tell you, this has been the best thing ever, I don't have to fight the mall crowds and stand in line for hours to get a picture with Santa, just bring the kids up to the Manor House each year and voila- Santa pictures with the entire family. Marc and I found out 3 years ago that we were going to be staples in the picture for a while because that year, Mary McLean wouldn't go near Santa, so I had to hold her in the picture. Last year, she was a little less timid and stood by his leg (still wouldn't sit on his lap), but then Emma wouldn't go near him, so once again, I held her back behind him. This year Emma REALLY didn't want anything to do with Santa, in fact when it came our turn, she was crying, "No Santa, Mommy!" I held her and she wouldn't pick her head up off my shoulder for any of the pictures. Half the pictures she is staring Santa down making sure he doesn't make any sudden moves toward her. It was really quite funny.

After having our pictures taken, the kids were given the go ahead to eat cookies and play in the kids corner. Mary McLean had fun playing dress up, and Andrew had fun shooting hoops with the toddler basketball goal. All in all, it was a nice morning.

Mmmm...cookies

Pretty girls. They actually all kind of look alike in this picture!

He shoots, he scores!

Mary Mac and Emma did make some ornaments while we were there too.
