This past weekend was a blur of activity. Friday night was our neighborhood's adult Holiday party. They hosted a casino night in the Manor House. We went to the Holiday Casino two years ago and had a blast. This year was fun too, but beat the other year because we won a $50 Target gift card! :) woohoo!
On Saturday I spent the day with some of my oldest friends, as well as some of our newest ones. Kim and Amanda, and I drove to Gaffney to meet our other friends, Lauren and Amy for lunch. This is an annual event for my high school girls. I believe this was our 15th annual get-together, but I'm not positive. It's always fun to be back with my faves from high school. They are all such wonderful friends and I cherish our friendships dearly. I'm so glad we have all remained in close contact through the years.
Saturday night we headed over to the Grant's house for their Christmas party. It was a lot of fun being with some of our newest friends for the evening. The kids ran around, the adults ate, drank, and laughed. Santa even made an appearance and passed out some gifts to the kids. Then we had an adult gift exchange. I think I brought home the best prize of all. I scored a bottle of wine called, "Mommy's Time Out," and a voucher for a date night at home with Marc, complete with a meal made by Misty (awesome cook), and our kids swept away for a couple hours! What could be better than a home-cooked meal, and some time at home with Marc without any kids running around screaming and yelling? Sounds like a winner in my book!
Unfortunately I don't have any photos from Friday or Saturday morning, but I promise to get some up from the Grant Christmas party soon!
