Birthday Party Saturday

Saturday was jam-packed with birthday fun!  The new dance studio that the girls will be going to held a "1st" birthday party for their new location in Ft. Mill.  The weather was perfect that morning, complete with a nice cool breeze.  When we got there the kids bee-lined straight to the jumpy house.  They had a blast jumping on there and we had to bribe them with cupcakes to get off and let some other kids have a turn.  After they had gotten their shoes back on, we headed into the studio to see what all they had in there. 

The first stop was the front desk where Mary Mac and Emma got their free t-shirts- they are so cute, hot pink with a tiara and rhinestones: right up my girls' alley!  haha!

The next stop was the studio that was housing the pretty pink cupcakes! 

After enjoying their cupcakes Andrew and Mary McLean went to get their faces painted.

We tried to get Emma fitted for tap shoes, but they didn't have any wides, so we will have to save that for another day.  Mary Mac and Emma went into the studio where they had some of their dancers showing off their solos from the previous year.  I must say, I was quite impressed.  Mary Mac has even tried copying some of the moves she was so mesmerized with!  ;)  After a couple of the girls performed, they had anyone that wanted to come up and learn a dance to a Miley Cyrus song.  Mary McLean jumped right up with one of her friends from the pool.  She picked it up pretty well, and had a lot of fun.

After all that fun, we headed home for naps and to gear up for the second part of our birthday celebrations.  One of our neighbors had her 2nd birthday that evening at the pool.  The kids had a blast running around with all the neighborhood kids-even in the pouring rain!  It was a perfect ending to a fun day.  Here are the girls enjoying their blue cupcakes!
