Last week, the girls took turns going to Greenville to spend time with grandma and grandpa. Mary Mac went first, and then when grandma brought her back, she picked Emma up and took her. They both had a great time going to Build A Bear, and Mary Mac even went to see Toy Story 3. Emma also got to celebrate her birthday a little early while she was down there.
Mary Mac with her bear: Lilly. Emma made a pink flamingo named: Sunglasses. (don't ask me where she came up with that name- haha)
While the girls were gone, I took that time to clean out their rooms and throw out old toys, and clean out their closets. Of course I started in Mary Mac's room since she was the first to leave, then since I hadn't done Emma's yet, I had no room for the piles of clothes that MM had outgrown, so they sat in several piles on Emma's dresser until Emma left and I could tackle her room.
I was in a purging mood last week I guess because I also cleaned out the laundry room closet, the pantry, and the drawers and cabinets in our entertainment center. I can't wait until Andrew goes to my parents house next week and I can attack his room! :)
The quote of the week was Emma when she got home, I told her to go look in her room, when she did she gasped and looked at the floor and said, "It looks so soft!" She immediately sat down and started rubbing the carpet and said, "Mommy, you put carpet down in here!" Um, no, Emma, you can just see the carpet because I cleaned up all your mess! haha!
