Something(s) to celebrate

August is a special month in our family, lots of important dates all within one week.  First with Emma's birthday on the 3rd.  On the 6th is GUD's birthday, and on the 8th, is my parents anniversary.  This year was extra special because my parents were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary!  I'm so lucky to have parents who are still happily married- how sad it is that this is so rare now.  Since we canceled plans for Emma's "big" birthday party my mom invited us down to Columbia for the day to celebrate all three special days at once.  After church we drove down there and enjoyed a yummy Sunday dinner with the family celebrating such joyous occasions.
Andrew is down in the Columbia for the week rounding out our summer "camps."  Hard to believe school is about to start back!
Emma spies her presents!
Her own binoculars, flashlight, and jump rope.  Her main present from my parents (a sleeping bag) had not been delivered yet- I can't wait for her to see it.  She has been so jealous of her brother and sister on family movie nights since they have their own sleeping bags!
A Dora DVD- her favorite!  :)
GUD opening his cards from the kids

Here is a video clip of Emma doing her jump rope.  She really thinks she's doing it- so funny!  I also love Mary Mac's piano playing skills in the background!  haha!
