Christmas Program

When we moved to Charlotte, I didn't know a whole lot about the area we moved to.  I ran into a friend at our 10 year high school reunion that summer after we had moved, she had a son a year younger than Andrew and lived in the same area of Charlotte we had just moved to, so I asked her where was a good place for preschool.  She told me, Good Shepherd and one other place, that I honestly can't remember the name of now, but that Good Shepherd was where she was sending her little boy in the fall.  I came home and that week scheduled a tour to see the preschool.  They had a spot for Andrew, and I signed him up.  It was the only school I looked at, and boy did I hit the jackpot with this one.  I love everything about it!  So much so that I started subbing there last year, and even got a job teaching in one of the 2 year old classrooms this year.  I could seriously go on and on about how wonderful this school is, but this is a post about the Christmas program.
This is the 5th Christmas program we have been through at GS, and I think it just keeps getting better.  I love that my children attend a preschool where the focus is on the true meaning of Christmas, without  the commercialized aspect of the season.  I love that their program contains Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, Shepherds, Angels, Wise Men, etc., and not Santa, and his reindeer.
Since I was with my own class this year, I missed a big chunk of the program.  This year, each age level performed their own songs, so the 2's went first, and then we were waiting outside the worship center while the 3's and 4's performed, then we all came together at the end-nothing like hearing over 150 kids sing "Go Tell it on the Mountain."  I did sneak in to see a couple of Mary Mac's songs, which were adorable!
My parents were my photographers for the program, and I ordered the DVD of it, but won't receive it until we go back after Christmas.  I can't wait to see it!
