My little campers

This past week was glorious, heavenly, and just plain old relaxing!  Emma went down to Columbia with Nana on Sunday afternoon, and then Monday morning Andrew and Mary Mac started camp.  The YMCA did a camp for our neighborhood up at the Manor House.  It worked out perfectly because Andrew and Mary McLean were both able to attend the same one.  It started at 9:30 in the morning and then went until 4:30 that afternoon.  7 blissful, childfree hours for me each day.  Andrew and Mary Mac were so excited about camp, I think Monday morning, Mary McLean was dressed and ready to walk out the door at 7:30! (And is it weird that I had to go buy 2 more outfits for her to wear for camp?  she didn't have enough "play" clothes to go 5 days straight. haha)  While they were at camp during the day, I went to the gym each morning, and then just enjoyed the time to myself the rest of the day.  I would go shopping, run errands, read my book, and even went to the pool one day, but it was so miserably hot, and I honestly didn't know what to do without the kids there.  haha!
Emma did amazingly well in Columbia at "Camp Nana."  We really weren't sure how long she would actually stay, so I had to enjoy each day as if it were my last.  Surprisingly she made it all the way to Friday!!!  I missed her greatly while she was gone, but truly appreciate that my parents were able, and willing, to keep her for so long!  How awesome are they???  ;)  I feel like I had a vacation!
Camp wore Andrew and Mary McLean out!  My two that are used to taking naps in the afternoon had 5 days of 0 naps!  By Tuesday, they would come home and sit on their bean bags in the playroom for some "down" time until dinner and Mary Mac would fall asleep every time.  I had to wake her up for dinner each night!  Andrew came home yesterday and asked if he could go back to camp next year too.  I think that was a success!
Monday before camp- Mary McLean was about to fall over from the weight of her book bag
CAMP!!!!
Exhausted after camp on Thursday.
