Since we have been back from Disney we have been in a mad rush to get ready for Christmas. We got back from Florida around dinnertime on Friday. Saturday, we did some running around getting ready for a Christmas party that night and getting our tree. The rest of the day was spent wrapping our presents and cooking our food for the party, and then decorating our tree. Our good friends the Grants, hosted a wonderful party for the neighborhood crew. The kids had so much fun being with their friends again, and Marc and I enjoyed rehashing our vacation with everyone. Marc and I worked together on the Dirty Santa gift exchange and I was able to score him a very popular bottle of Gin and he snagged me a gift card to the Wine Shop! Such teamwork!
Unfortunately Sunday morning Emma woke up throwing up, and then Andrew called me to tell me his "Stinkies were all crazy!" Yes, seems we had contracted the lovely stomach virus that has been going around. By the end of the day Emma had the so called "crazy stinkies" as well. Lovely.
Monday Emma was still not feeling up to par. She basically laid in my arms all day, or slept. Poor thing was so pitiful. She never cried at all, just laid around staring off into space.
Marc and I had done virtually no Christmas shopping, so Tuesday morning after I dropped Mary McLean off at school, we met at Toys R Us to get something accomplished. Good thing Emma is still too young to have any clue, so we were able to find things for her as well. It seemed everyone was feeling better by Tuesday night.
Wednesday, Marc came home from work early because he had caught the bug. He went to bed around 7:30 that night. On Thursday, I sent Campbell home after 2 bad diapers, then I found myself feeling a little less than good, if you know what I mean.
Knock on wood, but no one has had any symptoms since Thursday. Thank goodness it seemed to skip Mary Mac this time. Marc and I went through and disinfected everything in the house yesterday!
Now I just have to get the few presents I do have wrapped, and cross my fingers and wait hoping that the ones I ordered online get here in time for Christmas day. :)
