Yesterday I had my annual Christmas "thing" with some of my oldest girlfriends. We have been doing this since our senior year of high school and I think I have only missed 1 or 2 (when I was working in retail). This year was hard to coordinate everyone's schedule so it was a little later than we usually meet, I didn't think I was going to be able to make it, until last minute. We decided to meet for brunch in Greenville at Mimi's Cafe. (This was one of my reasons for going to Columbia, I could leave the kids with my parents and drive up to Greenville to see everyone and then come back to Columbia and pick up the kids to head back to Charlotte)

I think our senior year of college we started doing an ornament exchange because we realized we would be having our own Christmas trees soon and this would help add to our ornament collection. Every year I pull out my ornaments and I think of each of them as I hang them on the tree. I have some great memories with these special friends and I will cherish our friendships always!
