Trick or Treat

We had a fabulous time trick or treating this year. All of our kids really got into it, even Emma was excited! Andrew dressed up as Jack Sparrow (aka, a pirate), Mary Mac was Sleeping Beauty, and Emma was a dalmation. The kids got to walk around the neighborhood with a bunch of friends this year, and they had so much fun. Mackenzie (who was also Sleeping Beauty) and Mary McLean kept grabbing hands and running from one house to the next, it was the cutest thing. I let Emma out of the stroller and then there was no turning back for her. She ran around squealing and giggling chasing after the big kids. She would hike up to the door and just keep smiling at everyone and got so excited when she got candy in her bag. She even told one lady "thank you!" She got a sucker from someone and carried it around in her hand all night. I really enjoyed walking around seeing the kids get so excited about everything, so much fun! You know it's a sign of a productive trick or treat when your pumpkin is too heavy to carry at the end of the night! ;)

Misty brought over some halloween cupcakes for the kids, as you can tell, Emma really enjoyed hers..fyi, black icing is NOT fun to clean up! ;)
